Tour of Britain rushes through in September
Saturday 12 September is the date when famous cyclists will pass through Old Buckenham on their way from Norfolk (Fakenham) to Suffolk (Ipswich). The official tour website indicates that the cyclists will be through between 12.02pm and 12.26pm with an optimum time of 12.14pm. The timetable shows that they are expected to take just one minute to get from the Old Buckenham road sign in Attleborough Road to the crossroads at the start of Crown Road. Don't blink or you may not see them pass.
Remember there is plenty of other entertainment and cycling on and around the Green that day so make the best of an opportunity unlikely to come again for many, many years.
